COVENTRY, England, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Britain shared video of jewelry thieves slipping, sliding and wiping out on a store's freshly polished floors.

The video shared on Facebook by West Midlands Police shows the group of burglars smash their way into the Gem Jewelers store near Coventry, England, by crashing a stolen Mercedes through the door.

The thieves exit the car and soon discover the floor was freshly polished and slippery as smooth ice. Police said they are hoping the video, dated Jan. 29, will help identify the slapstick burglars.

"The raiders were masked when they committed the crime, but having stolen hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of Indian gold jewelry, their new-found wealth combined with their unique floor moves will undoubtedly give them away," Detective Constable Lee Buckler told the Coventry Telegraph.
