Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe BATI, Cambodia, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Wildlife charity Free the Bears released a video showing how a young cub rescued in Cambodia re-learned how to walk after a spinal injury. The charity said the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center's cub, dubbed Blue, suffered spinal troubles "most likely caused by a physical trauma at an extremely young age." Advertisement Free the Bears said veterinarians from Cambodia and around the world were consulted for advice and keepers provided 24-hour car for the cub with donated "Cub Care Kits." Blue's quest to walk again gained extra urgency when the group rescued another cub named Baker and Blue "had no choice but to constantly build up his strength" to keep up with the "rambunctious spirit," the charity said. The group said Blue is now able to walk on his feet, albeit a bit unsteadily, and can climb on his frame. "Blue is still a very young, growing bear and is not out of the woods yet, but he is dearly loved and we at Free the Bears are so happy with his progress," the charity said.
