ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- A Minnesota woman who teaches exercise classes and keeps up with Facebook at 100 years old attributes her health and longevity to "an attitude of gratitude."

Lauretta Taggert, who celebrated her birthday Tuesday at Riverview Highlands senior apartments in St. Paul, has been leading exercise classes at the facility for 15 years and often goes online to buy books on Amazon and connect with friends and family on Facebook.

"She is amazing," said Jana Kyser, the property manager at Riverview Highlands told KARE-TV. "I asked what she attributes such a long life to... she said an attitude of gratitude, and honey, don't ever let your hair go gray."

"She is the epitome of the long, healthy life," Kyser said. "Virtue, honesty, so many character qualities are just exemplified. She's a part of bringing this community together."
