The NWS took images collected from the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association's Redfish Lake webcam during the final week of December to create a 48-second time-lapse video showing the ice spread across the water. Advertisement Gary Gadwa, head of the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association, said the lake finished freezing over Dec. 30, a few weeks later than usual. "We wanted to have another way for people to see and enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Redfish Lake and the Sawtooths," Gadwa told Boise State Public Radio. "The center was the perfect location for a webcam."
