HOHHOT, China, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Firefighters in a northern Chinese city used an electric power saw to free a 2-year-old girl who became trapped in a washing machine.

The toddler was pulled from the tube by her father when the cutting afforded her enough wiggle-room. She was not injured.

The girl, who remained calm during the rescue, had crawled into the washer while playing and was discovered by her mother.
