388 eat breakfast in bed for world record

SHANGHAI, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- A Shanghai hotel moved dozens of beds into one giant room to serve breakfast to 388 people, breaking a world record.

The 388 people were served croissants, noodles and fruit in beds brought together at the Pudong Shangri-la hotel Wednesday morning to best the former world record of 288 people being served simultaneous breakfast in bed by the Association of Women's Health in Australia in March 2012.

The Wednesday event was organized by the More Than Aware breast cancer charity.

The diners included volunteers with the charity and members of the Shanghai Breast Cancer Recovery Club, known as "Thrivers."
