DALLAS, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A donor at the Dallas Zoo will be able to name their new baby giraffe after purchasing the naming rights for $50,000 at the charity event "Zoo to Do."

The bidding started at $25,000 and the money will go toward conservation efforts in Africa.

The giraffe was already 6 feet tall and 120 pounds when it was born.

The zoo has not announced the bidder, but said it wasn't a corporation and said it will announce the giraffe's name soon.
