Kenneth Love said he was driving on Highway 169 in Plymouth last week and he struck an owl around 3 a.m. Advertisement Love said he drove to a nearby friend's house, where he discovered the owl had survived the collision but was stuck inside the grille of his car. Love posted video of his unsuccessful attempts to extract the bird. He said he stopped trying when the owl tried to bite him and he waited for police to arrive. Plymouth police were able to cover the owl with a towel and pull it free. The owl was taken to the Minnesota Raptor Center to recover from its injuries.
