Thomas See of Sierra Madre said the video taken Sunday marked the first time he had seen a bear near his pool, but the animals have often been spotted in the area rooting around trash bins on pickup days. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife estimates there are between 25,000 and 30,000 black bears in the state.
