Washington wife to husband: 'I told you not to go outside; now you're going to jail'

TACOMA, Wash., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A Washington woman added insult to injury by zinging her husband as he was being arrested for threatening a police officer who gave him a parking ticket.

When Anton Givens saw a Tacoma Police Department officer writing him a ticket for parking on the sidewalk, he reportedly stuck his head out of a window and shouted, "What are you doing to my car?"

The TPD officer informed Givens he was being given a citation.

The 30-year-old was unsatisfied with that response and sprinted out of his home while cursing at high volume.

As the officer was walking away, the suspect allegedly yelled, "Come back here, you little [expletive]; you're about to get snatched up."

When the officer saw Givens' 6-foot-4-inch, 368-pound body, he elected to call for backup, KOMO reported.

After the additional officer arrived, Givens surrendered and allowed himself to be arrested.

That's when his wife chimed in on the situation by saying, "I told you not to go outside; now you're going to jail."

Givens was charged with felony harassment and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
