MINDEN, Nev., July 25 (UPI) -- A Nevada psychic may have to get her crystal ball cleaned...

Helen Welch of Minden was arrested on a charge of attempting to obtain money under false pretenses after an undercover investigation concluded she was committing fraud.

"The investigation was initiated after the sheriff's office received complaints of fraud by customers of Welch," the sheriff's office said in a statement, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

An officer went into Minden's shop and got a $25 tarot card reading.

The 64-year-old then allegedly said the officer's spouse was having an affair, but that she could fix the problem for a $700 fee.

After being paid, Welch gave the officer three long-stemmed roses and a plastic bag emblazoned with "Spiritual Karma Cleanser," the Record-Courier reported.

Welch was arrested and booked into jail.
