MACON, Ga., July 22 (UPI) -- A Georgia man is in a heap of trouble thanks to a "huge" mess that his dog left in the hallway of a Days Inn in Macon.

When someone alerted the front desk about the pile of poop, a maid was dispatched to investigate. She found that the reports of a pile of feces outside of Room 323 were painfully accurate.

The guest in the room was made aware of the stinky situation and informed that he was not allowed to have a dog at the hotel because he hadn't paid the fee.

According to a Bibb County sheriff's report, the suspect "ran up on (the maid) and bumped her in the chest." The 29-year-old then proceeded to curse the woman out and make a fist "as if he were going to hit her."

A deputy went to the room after 911 was called and the man took off. He was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.

So what happened to the potent poop pile that started the whole thing?

"I think a maintenance guy ended up doing it. It was huge," the maid told the Telegraph's Cop Shop blog.

The dog, a brown pit bull, was handed over to animal control.
