FRANKLIN COUNTY , Fla., July 17 (UPI) -- A 12-year-old Florida boy was arrested for the second time in a month after he took a school bus for a joyride.

During his unsanctioned trip back in June, Michael Propst took a Bay District school bus to Walmart.

The second theft occurred less than 24 hours after Propst made a court appearance for taking the first bus.

Parker police had a sense of déjà vu after finding out about the missing bus.

"They had a bus stopped with a juvenile driver," Parker Police Chief Charles Sweatt told WMBB. "Our initial reaction was 'oh no, not again.'"

In order to get the bus this time, Propst stole a car from his aunt and took it to Parker Elementary. After taking the bus, he drove it for more than two hours to Franklin County.

"When we were advised that it was the same juvenile driving the bus that had been responsible for the last bus theft from Parker we said 'No way,'" Sweatt said.

An officer returned Propst to Bay County after he was picked up.

"He's not unruly or resists arrest or anything of that nature from what I understand," said Sweatt. "He's just into stealing vehicles."
