"He's a good man, and a hard worker, and now he's worried about his job," Bewsee told the Boston Herald.
She doesn't deny that her son was involved in the altercation, but she claims that the customer started it by becoming violent when he was denied drive-thru service.
"Apparently he snuck in when my son went out," Bewsee said. "So when my son goes back inside, the guy is shoving things off the counter, he knocks over this donation (box) and my son says, 'You gotta leave. You gotta leave. You gotta leave.' He was slowly herding him towards the front door and they end up outside."
Noska was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault and battery.
"The whole story is not getting out there," said one of the suspect's co-workers. "He's a good guy."
Police are reviewing cellphone videos of the incident and footage from the store's surveillance cameras.
