Man loses fingertips on Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Florida

The man lost the tips of his ring and pinky fingers.

ORLANDO, Fla., July 11 (UPI) -- A tourist who was visiting Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida reportedly lost two of his fingertips while he was on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride on Thursday.

The man lost the top of his ring and pinky fingers on his right hand.

Disney officials checked the ride, deemed it safe and then reopened the attraction.

The man was taken to the hospital, but there has not been very much information released about his condition.

It's uncertain what exactly caused the accident.
