Knock his socks off: George H.W. Bush judging sock design contest

The opportunity to create a sock for the forty-first president will end on August 31st.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 25 (UPI) -- Want to knocks the socks off of a former president? Then enter a contest that the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation has put together.

The foundation is offering individuals a chance to design a pair of socks for 90-year-old "sock man" President George H. W. Bush.

After all the entries are submitted, Bush will choose a couple of pairs to be placed on display at his presidential library in College Station. The contest ends August 31.

Bush takes his socks seriously and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush once estimated that his father "must have, like, 500 pair of socks," according to ABC.

The forty-first president certainly doesn't hide his infatuation with socks.
