BURBANK, Calif., June 5 (UPI) -- Apparently he isn't a big Jan and Dean fan...

A contestant's guess on Wheel of Fortune in the "Song Lyrics" category may have been the worst answer in the history of the show.

The contestant, Stephen, was trying to solve the puzzle while looking at the following letters:

S_RF C_ _ Y _ERE WE COME.

Instead of naming the words from Jan and Dean's 1963 track Surf City, Stephen came up with this: "Surf clay where we go."

In addition to his answer being incorrect, it didn't even correspond with the letters that were on the board or come close to making sense.

After Stephen did his thing, host Pat Sajak simply responded, "Uhh... No."

Fortunately for Stephen, he's not the only one to look foolish on the show. In April, a college student couldn't solve a puzzle correctly, even though all of the letters were revealed.
