The melee at Mt. Healthy North Elementary School happened in front of about 150 children in the school cafeteria and involved around 20 people. Advertisement "The assault did induce panic during the assembly, causing several in attendance to be pushed," Springfield Township police wrote in a statement filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court. "The school was placed on lockdown and then eventually evacuated." Raymond Walker is charged with assault and inducing panic after he allegedly started a fight and injured Dominique Garrett. "It's unusual," said Springfield Township Police Lt. Brian Uhl. "These things typically don't break out at kindergarten graduations, but obviously there was some issue between the two. It's just unfortunate it had to take place there." Mt. Healthy Schools Superintendent Lori Handler said the district will "prosecute to the fullest extent" of the law. "It was horrible," parent Kim Calai told WCPO. "I'm standing there, and all of a sudden, this rush of people throwing punches is coming at me. There was a gentleman who was carrying a newborn that got hit. To have something like that happen at a graduation is pretty pathetic."
