KNOXVILLE, Tenn., May 30 (UPI) -- Hell hath no fury like a mother's scorn (or something like that).

A Tennessee man was allegedly so scared of facing his mother that he asked to be arrested.

Michael Heck was charged with making a false report after he allegedly called police to his home in Knoxville and mentioned methamphetamine.

Heck told police he wanted to be arrested for manufacturing meth because his mother was going to be mad at him, Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada told the Journal Express. The suspect's request was granted and he was taken to jail.

When deputies and officers searched the home, no meth, manufacturing materials or other drugs were found.
