That seems to be the case with a “brony dating sim with deep RPG elements, 100+ gameplay hours, and gorgeous artwork” that is currently listed on Kickstarter. Advertisement “Dark Skyes” supposedly wants to appeal to “bronies,” defined as “male viewers/fans (whether they are straight, gay, bisexual, etc.) of the My Little Pony show or franchise. They typically do not give in to the hype that males aren't allowed to enjoy things that may be intended for females.” According to the game’s description: “You are the new pony in town. You've got a lot to prove, and any respect you get must be earned. Most of the ponies in Cirrus City are nice, but they definitely don't trust strangers right off the bat, so you'll have to work hard for them to warm up to you, and build a network of real friends to help you when times get tough.” When members of the community began to contribute to the project, some people became suspicious of creator Michael Harris and began to do some digging. Advertisement According to Horse News, the game is likely just a hoax perpetrated by an online trolling group known as "Million Dollar Extreme." "While we await some sort of actual evidence that this is anything but a prank, people are being urged by fellow fans to think before pledging any money to this mysterious kickstarter, or to avoid it entirely,” reads a post on Horse News. The project currently has 121 backers and $2,788, but only has eight days left to reach its goal of $7,500.
