Instead of laughing all the way to the bank, deputies say a Florida woman was snickering all the way to the slammer.

Lori Ann Krosser was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and smuggling contraband into a detention facility when she was arrested after allegedly laughing at deputies when they asked her if she was drunk at a Marion County gas station.

According to the arrest report, Krosser walked out of a Kangaroo Express gas station and appeared to be intoxicated. When a deputy asked the 54-year-old if she was driving, she laughed at him.

Krosser, who “had very slurred speech and smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage,” then got into her car. The deputy told her to get out and noted that there were numerous open containers of beer in the car.

When Krosser was asked to perform a field sobriety test, she began “stumbling in random directions and into one of the officers.”

Deputies arrested Krosser and brought her to Marion County Jail. During booking, she declined to take a breathalyzer, peed her pants and admitted to owning pot that was found in her purse.
