A Wheel of Fortune contestant's seemingly wild guess stunned viewers on Wednesday night.

Emil Czar De Leon, a 25-year-old from Daily City, Calif., won $45,000 in the bonus round, when he guessed the phrase "new baby buggy," with only the letters "N" and "E." It's particularly impressive because people rarely use the word "buggy," an old-fashioned word for stroller.

Pat Sajak, who has hosted the popular word-quiz show since 1983, was understandably impressed.

Leon told the New York Post that he's studying to be a pediatric nurse.

“It helped that I’m a nursing student. I’m in a pediatrics, so I could visualize the things that babies use,” he said.

“I was stumped at first. I was pretty much in a pickle. But it was obvious the first word was ‘new.’ The ‘used letter board’ helped a lot. It started with a ‘B’ -- and ‘new baby’ just worked from get-go. ‘Buggy’ was kind of a shot in the dark,” he added.
