CHERRY HILL, N.J., March 10 (UPI) -- Police in New Jersey said they are searching for a woman accused of nearly biting another motorist's finger off during a fight regarding a parking space.

The Cherry Hill Police Department said officers responded to the parking lot of the Cherry Hill Mall about 4:43 p.m. Saturday and the 42-year-old victim told them she had been bitten during an argument with two other women about a parking space outside Nordstrom's, the South Jersey Times reported Monday.

Police said one of the women bit the victim's finger above the middle knuckle, nearly severing the digit from the woman's hand. The victim was reported as awaiting consultation with a hand surgeon Sunday at Cooper Hospital.

Officers said the attacker was described as a heavy-set black woman in her mid-30s with "bushy" hair and a vehicle that appeared to be an older model Audi sedan in a dark color.
