LOCKPORT, Ill., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Police in the Chicago suburbs said a man faces charges for taking his tiger cub out on the town, including inside a bar.

Lockport police said John Basile -- who keeps wolves, mountain lions and a tiger cub at his Big Run Wolf Ranch outside of town -- was videotaped walking down a street Sunday night with his tiger cub, WBBM-TV, Chicago, reported Thursday.

"He was thinking he didn't do anything wrong. I think he was kind of drunk, though," said Ethan Autman, the man who shot the video.

Police said Basile and the tiger had been spotted earlier in the evening at Uncle Ritchie's Bar, where the animal allegedly bit a woman in December.

Basile, whose ranch is federally licensed, was charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, reckless conduct and possession of a dangerous animal.
