WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- When deputies pulled over a Pasco County School District teacher's aide for DUI over the weekend, it wasn’t her level of intoxication that was surprising -- it was that she wasn’t wearing pants.

Kristi Steuber works as an aide at Paul R. Smith Middle School. After she was pulled over for going 69 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone with a broken headlight, the 41-year-old “stumbled and mumbled” telling deputies she’d had a few drinks at a St. Petersburg bar. Deputies noticed that Steuber was pantless when they asked her to get out of her car and perform a field sobriety test.

“I had to inform the defendant she was nude twice before she realized this," according to a police report about the incident, "and then make two requests for her to put pants on."

When Steuber eventually located her pants and took the test, she failed. She was arrested and taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.

Steuber will be required to meet with an employee relations member from the school district. "There may not be any discipline after that," Pasco County school district spokeswoman Linda Cobbe told the Tampa Tribune. DUI is a misdemeanor in Florida.
