TULSA, Okla., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Two men Tulsa Police nicknamed the "Beer Bandits" have been put on ice after authorities were able to use surveillance footage and a lead about their car to track them down.

The Beer Bandits, Cornelius McGuire and Gerardo Cota, allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of beer -- and they told police it was so they could pay their rent, according to FOX 23.

In addition to taking beer from at least three different places, McGuire and Cota allegedly stole furniture and appliances from unoccupied homes.

Bill Grant's establishment, the R Bar & Grill, was victimized by the bandits. "It makes me feel fantastic," Grant said of the arrests. "All of us felt very violated."

After the thieves stole kegs of beer from Grant's bar in early February, the police began investigating.

"They went the extra mile on this one, not to say they don't always, but we were amazed," Grant said. "They did a fantastic job, and we celebrate with them."
