Man bares buttocks behind Texas reporter

HOUSTON, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- A Texas news producer said the "stupidity of some people" leads to incidents like the baring of a man's buttocks during a Mardi Gras report.

Samantha Ptashkin, a reporter for KPRC-TV, Houston, was delivering a report on Mardi Gras celebrations in Galveston Saturday night when a man standing behind her during the live report bared his buttocks on camera, the Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday.

"We go to great lengths to make sure things like this don't happen," said Deborah Collura, KPRC-TV news director. "But sometimes unfortunately you cannot avoid the stupidity of some people.

"We do feel badly about it."

The news director said the station only received a few complaints about the incident.
