LONDON, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- London police are asking doctors who have recently treated bee stings to "give us a buzz" after a burglar broke into a shed filled with the insects.
Police said a burglar broke into a home's shed late Tuesday or early Wednesday and would likely have ended up with multiple stings as the shed was being used as an impromptu beehive at the time of the break-in, the London Evening Standard reported Friday.
Detective Sgt. Chris Brown said police are asking any doctors or pharmacists who have recently treated bee stings to come forward.
"Bee stings at this time of the year are unusual and if you have treated a patient with these symptoms please give us a buzz," Brown said.
