OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- An Oklahoma City man said he canceled his plans for a quesadilla lunch when he discovered what appeared to be a deceased lizard among his tortillas.

Matthew Nuttle, a producer for KWTV, Oklahoma City, said he purchased the package of Ole Mexican Foods tortillas at an Oklahoma City store and discovered an apparent dead lizard among the tortillas while he was preparing to make lunch Monday, KWTV reported Wednesday.

"As soon as I saw it, I thought it was mold," said Nuttle. "Then I could tell it was raised up, and it looked like it had scales on it."

Ole Mexican Foods said a picture of the offending object indicates that it's made of dough.

"Based on the picture ... we can conclude that a piece of dry dough from the previous production run was somehow released from the production line and packed all together with the fresh tortillas," the company said in a statement.

The company said it will sent Nuttle a prepaid envelope to send the tortilla package to its Georgia headquarters for a full investigation.

Nuttle said he plans to switch to a different brand of tortillas.

"It just kind of ... leaves a bad taste in your mouth," Nuttle said. "Pardon the pun."
