DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman offered a reward of cigarettes and beer for the return of her missing dog but the man who provided the vital clue to its whereabouts declined.

Abigail Miller, 23, of Dayton said Zoro the husky escaped alongside her other dog, Aina, Jan. 2, and remained missing after Aina turned up at a shelter a few days later, the Dayton Daily News reported Tuesday.

Miller said she posted a flier at her local Kroger store seeking Zoro's return and offering a case of beer and a pack of cigarettes as a reward. She said the reward was in her price range and she thought it might help draw attention to her search.

Miller said the poster was spotted by one of her frequent customers at the Submarine House and the man told her he had seen a dog matching Zoro's description being walked by people who said they found him wandering.

She said Zoro was found at the home to which she had been directed to by the man.

The man declined the promised reward of cigarettes and beer. Miller said she would treat him instead to Submarine House food.
