Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- An Iowa man faced charges after allegedly threatening to knife his brother, who chided him for eating six peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, police say. The brothers, in their 50s, got into a heated dispute Friday in their Des Moines home, the Des Moines Register reported. Advertisement Jerome Davis initially made and consumed three sandwiches and then made three more within the next hour, his brother told police. Six sandwiches in such a short period of time angered the brother, who confronted Davis about his over-eating. "Both victim and suspect began yelling about the other being lazy and 'eating again,'" a police report stated. Davis then allegedly pulled out a folding knife and held it to his brother's face, threatening to cut him, the report stated. The newspaper said when police arrived they took two knives from Davis, who allegedly told police he had made the threats against his brother because he wouldn't "shut the [expletive] up and mind his own business." Davis was charged with assault domestic abuse with a weapon and jailed, the Register said.
