WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Technology workers at a Manitoba business said they spent six hours creating an image from Post-it notes featuring the Grinch to win an office decorating party.

Colin Koop, an information technology worker with Ducks Unlimited in Winnipeg, said his department decided to "step it up" after losing the office decorating party last year, and the idea of a wall-sized tableau Post-it featuring Santa Claus, a reindeer, a snowman and a wall-sized Grinch came from a video of Post-it art on YouTube, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Monday.

Koop said it took four people about six hours to create the artwork from nearly 1,000 Post-it notes.

Koop said the group took on the office project "just for the bragging rights -- for the whole year!"

The IT workers were awarded first in the decorating contest, ahead of a display featuring duck decoys arranged to represent the 12 days of Christmas.
