SPARTANBURG, S.C., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Authorities in South Carolina said police were called to break up a family fight that began as an argument about Christmas tree decorating.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said three female relatives, ages 76, 61 and 24, began arguing Monday night because two of the women had decorated the Christmas tree at their Spartanburg home while the third woman was at work, the Smoking Gun website reported Wednesday.

A 41-year-old male family member soon "arrived at the residence to try and calm the three females down but was unsuccessful," the sheriff's report said.

All four family members "admitted to pushing each other and getting in their faces," the report said.

The report said none of the family members were injured, but the 76-year-old woman was examined by medical personnel because she was "concerned about her blood pressure."

No arrests were made and the relatives were "apologizing to each other" and "making amends with each other" when the deputy left the home, the report said.
