A member of the 23rd Judicial District Drug Task Force delivered about $20,000 worth of grow lights and hydroponic growing equipment the agency had seized to Stewart County High School and agriculture teacher Jordan McMillan came across the marijuana while inventorying the items, which were to be used in the school's greenhouse, The Leaf-Chronicle, Clarksville, reported Tuesday. Advertisement "I was going through the boxes, writing stuff down when I found it," McMillan said. "It was way down in one box under some lights and equipment." McMillan took the marijuana to the school's resource officer, who contacted the task force. Task Force Director David Hicks told the newspaper apparently a small amount of marijuana, referred to as "scrapings," was missed in the agency's inventory. "I don't know which county it came from or who the defendant was," he said, adding the returned pot was destroyed. "None of the students ever had any contact with it," Principal Mike Craig said. "It belonged to the task force, so we called them and they came and got it. Everything was handled properly." Advertisement The report did not say how much pot was found in the box.
