Nov. 25 (UPI) -- After a 19-year-old Florida woman tried to take her baby with her while working the streets as a prostitute, she was arrested when the baby’s father called the cops.
Braulio Cano, 24, got Alisia Alverez arrested on a domestic violence battery charge after she allegedly struck him several times in the face and neck during an argument about her plan to take their 1-year-old child to work.
Alverez is unemployed, and Cano claims she was going to prostitute herself in order to earn money for drugs, according to an arrest report.
Cano told Alverez she could do what she wanted, but refused to let her bring the child with her. Police arrested Alverez at the home she shares with Cano and she was taken to Collier County jail.
Deputies left the baby with Cano and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.
