Moped-riding thieves take purses from Prada store

LONDON, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Police in London said a quartet of moped-riding thieves broke the windows at the flagship Prada store and made off with a haul of pricey handbags.

Investigators said the men rode up to the store on two mopeds around 1:30 a.m. Friday, smashed the front windows and rode off with several handbags, each worth more than $1,621, The Guardian reported Friday.

Police said some purses dropped by the men were recovered at the scene.

The theft is under investigation and no arrests had been made Friday afternoon.
