Before being put on the wheel, the 44,000-pound, glass-enclosed cabin was escorted to the wheel by the Nevada Highway Patrol from a warehouse about 10 miles away. The trip took about three hours to complete.
The rest of the 28 passenger cabins should be installed within the next two weeks. Each cabin holds 40 people.
The wheel, which will open in December, was completed in early September on the eastern edge of the Linq entertainment plaza on the Las Vegas Strip.
