PITTSBURGH, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Police in Pittsburgh said a homeless man was found squatting in a luxury hotel's $2,500-per-night presidential suite.

Investigators said guests at the Omni William Penn Hotel opened the door to the suite Tuesday and were shocked to discover Jeffrey Watson, 48, asleep on a couch, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Thursday.

Watson was arrested and charged with trespass and theft of services. He told police he is from Los Angeles and has been in Pittsburgh for more than a month.

The arrest report said Watson told officers he sleeps "wherever he can locate somewhere comfortable to rest his head."

Hotel officials said they are not sure how Watson ended up in the suite, but the door had been programmed to unlock earlier in the day for an event.
