SANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A California court sentenced an Orange County man to prison for posing as a police officer and hitting up a suspect for sex with his wife.
Tariq Ibrahim Musa, 33, Santa Ana, was given 10 years for telling a parking lot peddler he was under arrest, but that his wife could get the charges dropped for a mere hour of her time.
The incident occurred in 2009 when Musa "busted" the 22-year-old man for selling bootleg CDs in a supermarket parking lot, the Los Angeles Times said. Musa noticed a photo of the man's wife and offered to drop the charges in exchange for a sexual romp.
One of the vendor's relatives, meanwhile, called the real police who placed Musa under arrest.
The Orange County District Attorney's office said Musa pleaded guilty to charges that included kidnapping, false imprisonment and grand theft.
