NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A man fleeing from police in Florida shocked two women when he burst into a stranger's home wearing only his socks, witnesses said.

North Lauderdale resident Anna Desius said Patrick James, 21, had "nothing but socks" on when he came in through her front door while she was talking with a friend Tuesday, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Friday.

James shushed the two women and attempted to hide in the home's kitchen, where he was arrested by a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy.

The sheriff's office report said James and Zane Thompson-Henry, 21, were being pursued by deputies after sealing a TV from a nearby home, and James lost his pants when a deputy attempted to grab him.

He shed the rest of his clothes while fleeing, the sheriff's office said.
