Taiwanese airline has planes with Hello Kitty motif

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- One of EVA Air's Hello Kitty-outfitted jetliners will be coming to Los Angeles soon, the Taiwanese airline says.

The Boeing 777 will have the popular cartoon cat painted on the outside of the plane, which will be stocked with Hello Kitty-branded soap and lotion and the cabin crew will wear Hello Kitty aprons when serving passengers, the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific website reported.

The Hello Kitty plane will be used on the airline's Los Angeles route beginning Sept. 18.

EVA Air, which teamed with the Sanrio agency on the marketing effort, already has five Hello Kitty aircraft, including Magic jet, Clouds jet, Music jet, World jet and Apple jet that have been carrying passengers on its Asian routes.
