CINCINNATI, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A Cincinnati casino said it awarded $1 million to the wrong man, and righted the situation by awarding $1 million more to the correct person.
Officials at the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, in a monthly drawing of loyalty card holders who entered the contest by swiping their cards each day for a month, gave the prize to Kevin Lewis, and then discovered it was the wrong Kevin Lewis, the news website Cincinnati.com reported Monday.
The money was actually won by another man named Kevin Lewis. Each Kevin Lewis is about the same age, is a Cincinnati resident and had other similar personal information, the Cincinnati Business Courier said.
"This was our blunder," Kevin Kline of the casino said, "so, consistent with our commitment to do the right thing for our guests, Horseshoe awarded a $1 million prize to each."
