Aleena Headrick had no idea how the 7-foot-tall Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket ended up in her yard.

"I was driving by, I saw this giant Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket in my yard, and I thought for sure I was hallucinating, so I called my teenagers who were at home and had them go outside," Headrick said.

The bucket mysteriously appeared on Headrick's Waynesboro, Ga., yard Thursday afternoon, and she and her family have decided to embrace their new lawn art.

Neighbors and strangers have started to stop to have their picture taken with the monument to crispy goodness.

"Too often we just need something to laugh about and so I put it on Facebook and told them that I would bring chicken to the next potluck," Headrick said.

It turns out her landlord, Freddie Taylor, is the culprit.

Taylor collects old signs and said he bought the bucket and dropped it off on his property. He said he thinks it is at least 30 or 40 years old because of the design and has plans to display the bucket on a pole for all to see.
