Investigators said the teenager in Kato Ambelia initially told officers he shot himself in the foot accidentally Sunday while attempting to ward off a home intruder, but the teen admitted Tuesday he shot himself in the foot on purpose with his father's unlicensed gun in an attempt to impress a girl with his concocted story, Ekathimerini.com reported Tuesday.
