Officers zeroed in on 23-year-old Justin Geiger after a clerk recalled Geiger had been in the store the day before the puppy went missing, asking about the little Rottweiler and whether it had a tracking chip embedded under its skin. Advertisement Geiger left the store without the pup, but sometime that night, the window of the Middle Island shop was broken and the dog was taken, police told the New York Post. Geiger was booked for burglary and ordered to appear in court for arraignment.
