The woman, a 42-year-old Romanian national, was a former employee at the Il Borro assisted living center when she fell on hard luck. Administrators allowed the woman to live there rent-free from 2011 to 2012. What they didn't know is she was a prostitute, ANSA news agency said Tuesday. "She told us she was going through hard times, and giving her a home, as we've done with others, seemed like a nice gesture." Police said they caught the woman during a larger investigation into prostitution at several nearby hotels.
