Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Police say a Florida man visited Belleview's Prestige Auto on Friday and asked to test drive a 1997 Ford F-250. After handing over his phone number and license information, Lloyd Kraft was given the keys. The employee who set out to follow Kraft, 67, told the Ocala Star-Banner that he drove "all over" the county. At some point he lost sight of Kraft, and after searching, the employee spotted the truck only to lose it again. Advertisement The employee decided that unlike most car buyers, Kraft most likely did not just drive the truck to a mechanic to have it checked out. It turns out Kraft's phone number was bogus and his address was a vacant home. After three hours, the employee decided to call the police. When Belleview Police found Kraft, he admitted he was using the truck for work, and officers found tools and lumber in the bed of the truck. Kraft said he told the salesman he would be gone for "awhile" and that he didn't intend to steal the truck. When Kraft called his ex-wife to come pick up his tools so the truck could be returned to the dealership, police discovered he should not have contacted her, as there was a domestic violence injunction against him. Police did allow her to take the tools. Advertisement Kraft was charged with grand theft auto and violation of domestic violence injunction for protection.
