WELLINGTON, New Zealand, May 23 (UPI) -- A strip club in New Zealand has a street sign reading "Topless Terrace," after winning it in a cancer foundation auction Thursday.

The Wellington, New Zealand, City Council discovered this month a road sign it had ordered for a street, Torless Terrace, was inadvertently printed "Topless Terrace."

The sign was taken down and given to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation to auction, the (Wellington) Dominion Post reported.

In an online auction, a local strip club called Calendar Girls bid 920 New Zealand dollars ($740), winning it and prompting a Facebook entry from the club reading, "It couldn't have gone to a better home!"

Adele Gautier of the Breast Cancer Foundation said of the council: "They got into the spirit of this and decided to make the best of it, and we really appreciate it. It's a great little bonus for us."
