Terry Cline, an independent visual communications producer, was using the camera-equipped helicopter to take pictures of the courthouse for the Marion Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Mario Star reported. Advertisement Cline said an unexpected breeze took the helicopter away and he lost control of it. The helicopter then landed on the hilt of Lady Justice's sword, which sits more than 100 feet above the road, The Marion Star said. Cline has contacted officials for help in getting the device down, but no solution has been reached. "It may sit up there for a long time because we are not spending county dollars," said Commissioner Andy Appelfeller. Officials are also investigating whether Cline broke any laws by flying the helicopter or possibly damaging the statue. But Cline said officials are exaggerating the issue. "There are a lot more important, pressing issues that need to be addressed instead of this stupid thing in the arms of justice," he said. Advertisement
