Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe MANCHESTER, N.H., April 30 (UPI) -- A New Hampshire man said he lost his $2,600 life savings at a "rigged" carnival game and received only a stuffed banana and a $600 refund for his trouble. Henry Gribbohm, 30, said he was attending the Fiesta Shows carnival in Manchester and he played a game called Tubs of Fun, trying to win an Xbox Kinect, WBZ-TV, Boston, reported Monday. Advertisement "You're expecting the kids to win a few things, let the kids have a good time," Gribbohm said. "It just didn't turn out that way." Gribbohm said he started losing money at the game, which involves players tossing balls into a tub, and kept playing in the hopes of winning his cash back by going double-or-nothing. Gribbohm said he went home to get more money and had soon lost $2,600. "It's not possible that it wasn't rigged," Gribbohm said. Gribbohm said he came back the next day to complain to the man running the game and he was given a $600 refund and a giant stuffed banana. Fiesta Shows Vice President John Flynn said the game is run by an independent contractor who has been with the carnival for years. Advertisement "They've been with us quite a while," Flynn said. "First I ever heard of anything like that. "I know it's a difficult game. I've tried it myself -- I've done it once, missed probably 20 times," Flynn said. Flynn said the game has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation. Manchester police said they were investigating to see whether any fraud occurred.
